Amal Clooney Among Experts Supporting ICC Arrest Warrants Against Israel, Hamas Leaders

Human rights attorney Amal Clooney was part of the expert panel that advised the International Criminal Court (ICC) to seek arrest warrants against Israeli and Hamas leaders on war crimes charges. The panel of experts was convened by ICC prosecutor Karim Khan to assist with the evidence review and legal analysis concerning the arrest warrant applications. “More than four months ago, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court asked me to assist him with evaluating evidence of suspected war crimes and crimes against humanity in Israel and Gaza. “I agreed and joined a panel of international legal experts to undertake this task,” Ms. Clooney, the wife of actor George Clooney, said in a May 20 statement on the Clooney Foundation for Justice website....
