Apple’s iMessage Outage Resolved After Thousands Report Issues

Thousands of Apple users across the United States reported having problems with sending iMessage texts on Thursday, according to an outage monitoring site. But Apple said that the outage has since been resolved. Apple’s system status page shows that the iMessage service was down from 5.49 p.m. to 6.35 p.m. ET, with a note indicating that some users were “unable to use this service” during this time. Other apps including Apple Messages for Business, FaceTime, and HomeKit were all hit by outages at the same time, according to Apple’s system status page. These services have since been restored.
