The husband of a Burbank elementary school teacher who police suspect was killed by her son in her home May 7 says her death is a “loss to the world.” Vince Lombardo was out of town when his wife Karen Lombardo, 57, was found dead in their home on the 800 block of North Avon Street at about 10 p.m. Tuesday. The couple’s adult son, Kyle Lombardo, 25, was arrested on suspicion of murder by Burbank police. “It’s a loss to the world,” Mr. Lombardo told KTLA 5. The two had been married for 31 years and had two children together. Ms. Lombardo had been a teacher in Burbank for over 30 years and had a significant following in the city, her husband said....
