Elementary School Teacher Found Dead in Burbank Home; Son Arrested

A Burbank, California, elementary school teacher was found dead in her home, and her adult son has been arrested on suspicion of murder, authorities announced May 8. Kyle Lombardo, 25, of Burbank, was booked for murder and is scheduled to appear in court May 9. Detectives are investigating the death of Karyn Lombardo, 57, who lived with her husband and son. Police responded to Ms. Lombardo’s home at the 800 block of North Avon Street at about 10 p.m. Tuesday following a report of an unconscious female. When officers and paramedics arrived, they found Ms. Lombardo inside the home and performed life-saving measures. Still, she was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Burbank Police Department....
