Middletown School District’s Proposed 2024–25 Budget up by $9 Million

Middletown School District’s proposed budget for next year is up by $9 million to nearly $263 million, according to district administrators at a city council meeting on May 7. The school tax levy, which covers over a quarter of the total budget, is proposed to increase by 1 percent to $73 million next year. Even with the bump, the proposed levy is still about $3 million below the amounts years ago prior to the generous tax cut of $5 million in 2022.
