
Elon Musk Says Online Harms Act an ‘Attack on the Rights of Canadians’

Elon Musk is once again speaking out against the Online Harms Act, calling it an “attack” on free speech rights in Canada. The billionaire owner of social media platform X called the proposed legislation “a terrible attack on the rights of Canadians to speak freely” in a May 7 post on X. Mr. Musk waded into the issue in response to an article by The People’s Voice that was posted on X the same day. The article, entitled “Canada to Imprison Anyone Who Has EVER Posted ‘Hate Speech’ Online,” caused Mr. Musk to comment, “This sounds insane if accurate!” He asked for the post to be fact checked....
