
Homeless Woman Attacks Bus Driver Over Fare in Los Angeles
A homeless woman attacked a bus driver in Los Angeles on May 5 after allegedly refusing to pay the fare, according to media reports. The incident occurred at about 12:40 p.m. at the South-Central Avenue and Jefferson Boulevard intersection, police told media sources. The woman, whose identity has not been revealed, allegedly attacked the Department of Transportation (DOT) Dash bus driver after she told her to get off the bus for refusing to pay the fare. The standard bus fare is 50 cents per ride, according to the LADOT website. Video of the incident shows the woman attacking the driver while she was still in the driver’s seat behind a plexiglass door.
