NSW Bracing for a Wet and Wild Weekend

New South Wales (NSW) is bracing for a weekend of wild and wet weather, with possible flooding, after some areas had more than 100 millimetres of rain over the past week. The Bureau of Meteorology says the Illawarra, Hunter, Central Coast, and Greater Sydney regions can expect to get a similar triple-digit dumping over May 4 night and May 5.  “We can see some pretty major impacts, areas of flooding, blocked drains, closed roads, causing big traffic. We could see all that on Sunday,” Senior Meteorologist Angus Hines said.  Rainfall data from the bureau showed Observatory Hill had nearly 53 millimetres from April 29 to May 3 and some areas had rain totals for the week of more than 100 millimetres. ...
