Small Boat Migrants Can Claim Asylum Under Labour Plans

Labour would allow thousands of asylum seekers to make claims to stay in Britain, if it wins at the next general election, a spokesman has indicated. According to the party, asylum seekers who have arrived in the UK illegally since last March will be entitled to claim for asylum under Labour rule. Under the Illegal Migration Bill, passed by the Conservative government last year, migrants arriving to the UK illegally are blocked from making asylum claims.
