Military Chaplains Hope Supreme Court Will Take Up Challenge to COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

The U.S. Supreme Court will soon decide whether to accept the case of over 30 military chaplains challenging Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin’s implementation and enforcement of the now-rescinded COVID-19 vaccine mandate. On April 26, the Supreme Court will decide whether to take up a petition by 38 military chaplains to reinstate their case by vacating the Fourth Circuit’s dismissal of their constitutional and statutory claims arising from damages for requesting a religious exemption to the mandate.
