Bicyclist Struck by Vehicle, Killed During Police Chase in South Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES—A vehicle being chased by police April 24 in the South Los Angeles area struck and killed a bicyclist, and the motorist was taken into custody, according to authorities. The crash occurred at about 6:15 a.m. following a brief pursuit that led to the area of Hooper Avenue and 45th Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, paramedics were sent to the neighborhood around that time, and a person died at that location.
