The Senate dismissed both articles of impeachment against Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday and ended the trial. Senate democrats argued that the articles were unconstitutional, while republicans argued for a full trial. The House will be voting on three separate foreign aid bills, with $61 Billion to Ukraine, $26 Billion to Israel, and $8 Billion to Taiwan and the Indo-Pacific region. President Biden endorsed the bills and said he would sign them immediately if passed, while House GOP pushed back on the lack of border measures. President Joe Biden called for tripling tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum imports, at a campaign stop in Pittsburgh.
