
20 States Move to Prevent Biden Administration from ‘Sue-and-Settle’ Border Tactics
The attorneys general of 20 states have joined forces to prevent the Biden administration from relying on “sue-and-settle” maneuvers to skirt accountability for the president’s border policies. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen are leading the coalition supporting five intervenor states. Filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on April 5, the brief seeks to protect the sovereign status of states to uphold immigration laws when the president surrenders his obligation to do so.
