Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is heading for a worse election result than Sir John Major’s 1997 defeat to Sir Tony Blair, with a poll predicting Labour would win with 403 seats compared to the Conservatives gaining just 155. Polling by YouGov published on Wednesday found that if an election were held tomorrow, the Labour Party would win with a 154 seat majority.
