Pro-Palestinian Activists Shout Down Democrat Congressman’s Democracy Lecture

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) was forced to cut short his lecture about democracy at the University of Maryland following chaotic interruptions from pro-Palestinian protesters, which the university’s president endorsed as a show of “democracy and free speech.” Mr. Raskin, one of two Jewish members of Maryland’s congressional delegation, was invited to give a lecture at the public university’s physics department on March 28. The lecture series was established in 2019 by physics professor Howard Milchberg to honor his late parents, Irving and Renee Milchberg, who survived the Holocaust, Capitol News Service reported.
