Several House Republicans Seek to Rename Washington Dulles After Trump

Seven House Republicans introduced a bill to rename Washington Dulles International Airport after the 45th U.S. president and 2024 contender Donald Trump. The bill, HR7845, was introduced on March 29th by Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-Pa.) and seeks to “designate the Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia as the ‘Donald J. Trump International Airport.’” A brief of the bill said, “Any reference in any law, regulation, map, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the airport referred to in subsection (a) shall be considered to be a reference to the Donald J. Trump International Airport.” Other sponsors are Reps.
