The prime minister has defended JK Rowling after she challenged Police Scotland to use the Scottish National Party’s (SNP’s) new hate crime legislation to arrest her for stating biological reality on social media. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak backed the author, saying in a statement given to The Telegraph on Monday: “People should not be criminalised for stating simple facts on biology.
