
Australian Defence Force Member Injured in Lebanon Bombing

An Australian Defence Force member was seriously injured in an explosion on Saturday in southern Lebanon while on a peacekeeping mission, the Defence Department has confirmed. However, their life is not at risk and they have been transported to a health centre at a nearby military base for treatment and has since been released to recover. The soldier was part of a peacekeeping mission, known as UNIFIL, stationed in southern Lebanon to monitor hostilities between Lebanon and Israel.
