A woman and two children were killed after a car hydroplaned in the rain and crashed into another vehicle March 30 on the 15 Freeway about 80 miles northeast of Barstow, according to media reports. The incident occurred around 1:40 p.m. when a 2019 Kia heading south started to hydroplane due to heavy rain close to Halloran Springs Road, media reports said. The car, with a driver and five passengers, then crashed head-on into a 2016 Mercedes SUV carrying four people. A woman and a 13-year-old boy, both of Madera, who were passengers in the Kia and an 11-year-old boy from Los Angeles who was in the Mercedes were killed....
