More Than 18,000 Kia SUVs Recalled in Canada Over Roll-Away Risk

Kia Canada is recalling more than 18,000 SUVs nationwide due to a manufacturing flaw that could cause the vehicle to “move when it’s parked,” Transport Canada says. An estimated 18,567 Kia Telluride SUV models from 2020 to 2024 are affected, according to the government-issued recall notice. A manufacturing issue with the axle shaft(s) on certain vehicles could result in the splines becoming damaged, the notice said.  “If this happens, the vehicle could move when it’s parked and the parking brake isn’t applied,” the March 28 notice reads. “A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could create the risk of an injury or a crash.”...
