NYC to Pilot Gun Scanners at Subway Terminals

New York City officials announced a pilot program Thursday to deploy portable firearm scanners throughout its subway system as part of its plan to deter violent crime underground. According to Mayor Eric Adams, the scanners will be introduced in certain stations after a legally mandated 90-day waiting period.
