ICE Arrests 216 Noncitizens Convicted of Drug Crimes in Nationwide Operation

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Thursday that Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers arrested 216 unauthorized noncitizens in recent weeks for drug-related crimes. Acting ICE Director Patrick Lechleitner said the agency apprehended a large number of individuals that had been convicted of drug-related offenses involving methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, or synthetic drugs, during a nationwide law enforcement effort that ran from March 11 to 26.
