OAKLAND, Calif.—Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is expected to soon announce that Silicon Valley lawyer Nicole Shanahan will join as his running mate, according to a person familiar with the decision. The announcement, set to shortly be made at a rally being held in Oakland where Ms. Shanahan was raised, represents the latest chapter in Mr. Kennedy’s campaign journey that started in Boston in April 2023 with his intent to challenge President Joe Biden for the Democratic Party nomination.
