Local agencies including the police and Batley Multi Academy Trust have “let down” the religious studies (RS) teacher forced into hiding following accusations of blasphemy, a report has found. Dame Sara Khan’s review into social cohesion published on Monday found that despite experiencing “an online and offline campaign of intimidation and abuse,” which included threats of violence against him and his family, the teacher had not been treated as a victim by authorities and did not receive relevant support.
