
Mercedes Benz to Recall 116,020 Vehicles, US Regulator Says

Mercedes Benz will recall 116,020 vehicles due to an improperly secured 48-volt ground connection, the U.S National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday. The recall affects some Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE vehicles manufactured from 2021 to 2024, GLE vehicles manufactured between 2019 and 2024, and Maybach sedans from the 2021–2023 model years, according to a NHTSA filing. The regulators said “a 48-Volt ground connection under the passenger seat may not be secured properly, resulting in the ground connection overheating,” which can increase the risk of a fire.
