
Trump Wins More Time to File Motions in Support of New Trial
A federal judge has granted former President Donald Trump’s request for more time to file motions in support of his request for a new trial in a case in which the former president has been ordered to pay $83 million for supposedly defaming author E. Jean Carroll. U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan on March 14 signed off on a request by President Trump for extra time to file replies in support of his motions requesting a new trial or change of verdict in the case, which he argued was “infected” by the judge’s errors.
