Judges in London Quash Murder Conviction of Jamaican Singer Vybz Kartel

The judicial committee of the Privy Council (JCPC) in London has quashed the murder conviction of Jamaican reggae star Vybz Kartel, who is likely to face a retrial. Vybz Kartel—real name Adidja Palmer—appealed along with co-defendants Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St. John, who were all convicted of murdering Clive “Lizard” Williams in Jamaica on Aug. 16, 2011.
