Hidden Jan. 6 Transcript Revealed A previously hidden transcript of an interview conducted by a U.S. House of Representatives panel investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol has been revealed, undermining a committee claim. The transcript shows that Anthony Ornato, the White House deputy chief of staff at the time, overheard Mark Meadows, the chief of staff, on the phone with Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser. Mr. Ornato testified that Mr. Meadows asked Ms. Bowser if she needed any more guardsmen and mentioned President Donald Trump’s willingness to ask for 10,000 troops.
