
Explosion, Fire in Jiangsu as CCP Holds ‘Two Sessions’ Meetings

An explosion and fire occurred successively at buildings in Jiangsu Province during the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) key annual meetings, known as the “Two Sessions.” The explosion occurred in the Zhangjiagang municipal building in Jiangsu Province on March 7. Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the Jiangsu Provincial Public Security Department building, according to reports, photos, and videos posted on social media. The images show the scene of the explosion: a large amount of white smoke was emanating from the foyer of the Zhangjiagang municipal building. The glass and door frame in the building’s foyer had been severely damaged by the explosion. Outside the foyer, a deformed liquefied petroleum gas cylinder was also visible....
