President Joe Biden proclaimed he would codify abortion as a right during his State of the Union Address Thursday Night, asking voters to provide him a Democrat-controlled Congress in order to restore the overturned 1972 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision and precedent as the “law of the land.” The Roe v. Wade decision was overturned in 2022 after being ruled unconstitutional as a result of the Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, returning the decision about whether to legalize or outlaw abortion back to the states. ...
