Dean Phillips Drops Out of Presidential Race, Endorses Biden

After a lackluster performance on Super Tuesday, Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) has dropped out of the race for the Democrat presidential nomination and thrown his support behind President Joe Biden. “It is clear that Joe Biden is OUR candidate and OUR opportunity to demonstrate what type of country America is and intends to be,” he posted on X, formerly Twitter. Mr. Phillips had not yet won a single delegate. President Biden has so far won more than 1,400 delegates. In Minnesota’s Democrat primary, “Uncommitted,” a protest option for those seeking a ceasefire in Gaza, won 11 delegates.
