Midterm Redux: 10 Congressional Race Rematches to Watch in 2024

Rematches will be a theme of the 2024 election cycle with a likely 2020 replay between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump headlining a ballot that, nationwide, will also see at least 22 midterm Congressional race losers challenging the incumbents who defeated them in 2022. That number could grow with Congressional filing deadlines still months away in dozens of states but, as of Feb. 27, there were 14 Democrats and eight Republicans taking on the same incumbents who defeated them two years ago, although several face competitive primaries to earn the nod.
