World Beauty Queen and CEO: Shen Yun Brings ‘Light and Love,’ Inspires Goodness

International beauty pageant winner and CEO Elena Suleymanova has seen Shen Yun twice and looks forward to her third time when the renowned classical Chinese dance production returns to Vancouver March 20–25. The beauty queen and executive says that besides being “extremely amazed by the performance,” she remains captivated by the “light and love” it emanates, qualities that inspired her “to do a lot more good work for people who are need.” Ms. Suleymanova was crowned Queen of the World in the 2017–18 edition of the competition held by Beauties of 5 Continents, the organization where she now serves as chief executive officer. The organization, which is in the creative entertainment field and affiliated with the Miss World Canada Pageant, has a philanthropic focus on bettering the lives of children and eliminating poverty around the world....
