
Woolworths CEO Retires in Wake of Contentious Interview

Woolworths Group Managing Director and CEO Brad Banducci will retire and leave the company in September this year. He has spent 13 years with Woolworths, and eight and a half years as Group CEO. He will be replaced by Amanda Bardwell following the release of the Group’s 2024 financial year results. His decision comes just days after the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) screened an interview in which Mr. Banducci denied claims of price gouging, and then walked out.
