The Supreme Court Tuesday declined to rule on a so-called holistic admissions policy at Virginia’s Thomas Jefferson high school, one of the nation’s most prestigious public schools. This means the school can continue to favor applicants who are economically disadvantaged, and academic performance is not the main factor in admissions. The Supreme Court also rejected appeals from seven Trump-allied attorneys, including Lin Wood and Sidney Powell. The group faces legal sanctions in Michigan for filing lawsuits that challenged the results of the 20-20 presidential election. The United States vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The resolution, drafted by Algeria, doesn’t call for the release of hostages. At the same time, the U.N. World Food Program said it had paused food deliveries to northern Gaza for safety reasons....
