Hundreds Gather at Burnsville, Minnesota Vigil for Police Officers and First Responder Killed in Shooting

Hundreds of people gathered in front of Burnsville City Hall in Minnesota on Sunday night for a candlelit vigil to remember the two police officers and the first responder who were killed in a shooting there earlier that day. The three deaths and the injury of a third police officer occurred at a suburban Minneapolis home in an exchange of gunfire, as police responded to a domestic dispute call involving an armed man who had barricaded himself inside a house with his family. Officials say the suspect also died in the shooting. The shooting in Burnsville claimed the lives of two 27-year-old police officers and a 40-year-old first responder. Seven children were inside the house, but officials say the family was able to leave the home safely. The city of Burnsville said a police sergeant was hospitalized with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries....
