Special Counsel Completes Biden Classified Documents Probe

Justice Department Special Counsel Robert Hur has concluded his investigation into President Joe Biden’s handling of classified documents during his time as a U.S. senator and as vice president, according to Attorney General Merrick Garland. The attorney general revealed the probe had reached completion in a letter (pdf) to lawmakers dated Feb. 7. It did not state what conclusion the special counsel reached as a result of the inquiry or whether any charges were being brought against the president. The final report was also not attached to the letter. However, Mr. Garland promised lawmakers he would make as much of the report as possible available for the general public in the future. He did not state exactly which date he planned to do so....
