Over $7 Billion in US Funding Went to UN Agency Whose Employees Reportedly Attacked Israel on Oct. 7

The United States has provided over $7.1 billion to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) since it was established in 1950, a Congressional Research Service (CRS) report shows. The Biden administration announced on Jan. 26 that it had temporarily paused unobligated U.S. funding to UNRWA after allegations floated that 12 UNRWA employees were involved in the attacks against Israel by Hamas on Oct. 7, 2023.
