White House Names Group Responsible for Killing US Troops in Jordan, Vows to Act

The Biden administration is formally acknowledging the group responsible for an attack in Jordan that left three U.S. Army Reservists dead. An umbrella group uniting several terror organizations resourced and conducted the attack, according to White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby. “We believe that the attack in Jordan was planned, resourced, and facilitated by an umbrella group called the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, which contains multiple groups, including Kata’ib Hezbollah,” Mr. Kirby told reporters on Jan. 31. “We will do what we need to do to make sure that those responsible are held properly accountable.” The Islamic Resistance in Iraq is not a single group but a network of ideologically aligned Islamic terror groups that broadly support Iran and its interests....
