Ohio Man Jailed for Firebombing Church Over Plans to Host Drag Events

An Ohio man was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Tuesday for attempting to burn down a church last year that planned to host drag show events, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). Aimenn Penny, 20, was arrested and charged in March after he threw two Molotov cocktails at the Community Church of Chesterland (CCC) in Chesterland, Ohio. According to court documents, Mr. Penny was also accused of breaking a sign outside the building and leaving scorch marks on the church’s front door.
