Several people being prosecuted in Britain for criminal offences based on evidence from the French police’s hacking of the EncroChat encrypted phone network say the Post Office scandal and the exposure of the flawed Horizon software has given them hope of being exonerated. But a senior barrister and King’s counsel (KC) with intimate knowledge of the EncroChat affair has told The Epoch Times he believes the legal establishment will find an “intellectually dishonest” means of preserving the convictions.
