Auditor General’s Report on ArriveCan Expected Feb. 12

The country is expected to get more information about the controversial ArriveCan app on Feb. 12, when Auditor General Karen Hogan is scheduled to disclose confidential details of a special audit of the app to the Commons public accounts committee. The committee got the news on Jan. 25, during a hearing on ArriveCan, as first reported by Blacklock’s Reporter. The chair of the committee, Conservative MP John Williamson, told the committee that the auditor general will table the report on ArriveCan on Feb. 12. “From 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., the office of the auditor general will be hosting a lockup on Parliament Hill,” said Mr. Williamson. “That is open to all Parliamentarians,” he said, adding officials from the OAG would be on hand to answer questions.
