All Bases Loaded in California’s Senate Race

Four candidates running for one of California’s two U.S. Senate seats faced off at a lively televised debate in Los Angeles on topics including war in the Middle East, the border crisis, the economy, housing and homelessness, health care, and abortion Jan. 22. The participants—Democrat U.S. Reps. Barbara Lee, Adam Schiff, and Katie Porter and Republican Steve Garvey—had qualified for the debate after landing the top four slots in a mid-December Politico/Morning Consult poll of likely primary voters, according to Fox News 11 Los Angeles, which hosted the debate with Politico.
