Local authorities in England will receive a £600 million support package, which comes as councils across the country experience staggering debt. Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove said that the financial boost will help councils deliver key services. Many local authorities in the country have been struggling financially, accumulating debt and cutting services available to residents.
