Florida GOP Lawmakers Push to Allow Parents to Sue in Wrongful Death of an ‘Unborn Child’

Republican lawmakers in Florida’s House of Representatives are considering a bill that would let parents seek monetary damages in the wrongful death of an “unborn child.” House Bill 651 reorders and amends Florida’s statute while adding parents of an “unborn child” to the list of “survivors” that can make wrongful death claims.
