
Harvard’s New Anti-Semitism Task Force Leader Called Israel ‘Apartheid Regime’
Harvard University has established an anti-Semitism task force in light of the recent departure of former Harvard president Claudine Gay, who resigned earlier this month. However, its newly appointed leader has previously called Israel an “apartheid regime.” Following Ms. Gay’s departure from the facility, interim Harvard President Alan Garber appointed Derek Penslar to lead the task force. Mr. Penslar, a professor of Jewish history, has since defended Ms. Gay after she received heavy criticism for her unwillingness to condemn anti-Semitism at the University. The task force was established on January 19 to identify the root causes of anti-Semitism at the Ivy League school.
