Federal Court Asks for Declaration of Pronouns in New Announcement

Canada’s federal court is making amendments to its general practice guidelines that will require pronouns and pronunciation of names to be provided by those using court services. The court announced the changes in a social media post to X on Jan. 19. “Amendments to note in the latest consolidated general practice guidelines. For people dealing with the Court: Provide pronouns and pronunciation of names,” the post said.
