Kim Young-rok, the governor of Jeollanan Province, South Korea, promoted traditional Korean food in New York. Mr. Kim joined The Taste of Jeollanan-do, an event at 5th Avenue in Manhattan, on Jan. 12 along with Korean Cultural Center New York director Yun Jeung Jo, Haenam County Mayor Myeong Hyeon-gwan, and Yeongam County Mayor Woo Seung-hee. Haenam and Yeongam are two counties in Jeollanan Province of South Korea. Karen Page, the author of Flavor Bible, and Michael-Ann Rowe, an Emmy Award-winning food and travel specialist, also joined the event.
