EU Passes Resolution Condemning CCP’s Persecution of Falun Gong, Calls for Sanctions

The European Parliament has adopted a resolution condemning the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP’s) ongoing persecution of Falun Gong, calling for an international investigation into the brutal suppression campaign against the faith group. The resolution, which passed through a majority floor vote on Jan. 18, cited the thousands of documented deaths under the CCP’s persecutory campaign, involving arbitrary detention, torture, psychological abuse, and forced organ harvesting in a bid to wipe out the belief system, although human rights advocates say the actual death toll is likely far higher.
