Houthi Rebels Launch Fresh Drone Attack on US-Owned Commercial Ships

Iran-backed Houthi rebels have struck again, this time attacking another American-owned commercial vessel traveling past the coast of Yemen in the Middle East. U.S. Central Command revealed in a Jan. 17 statement that the rebels launched a drone into the Marshall Islands bulk carrier Genco Picardy while it was passing through the Gulf of Aden. “There were no injuries and some damage reported. Genco Picardy is seaworthy and continuing underway,” U.S. Central Command said of the unprovoked attack.
